Weekly Update May #1

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 15 months since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin. We also had harbour porpoises. On average the tours rated 3.2 stars on our scale, where 2 tours had a rating of 4. No whale watching for now..
On average, we had 10 guests per dolphin watching tour and 4 seasickness cases with breakfast lost 🙁
Sea state was on average sea state 3.
This following week we expect near perfect conditions for the mornings, specially after Monday.

Weekly Update April #3

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 463 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins.. On average the tours rated 3.3 stars on our scale, where 1 tours had a rating of 4. No whale watching for now..
On average, we had 7 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 2.
This following week we expect near perfect mornings for Monday 22nd and Wednesday 24th. Tuesday 23rd we’ll probably have a afternoon tour only. Thursday 25th onward is very unstable weather, we’ll have to see a closer forecast.

Weekly Update April #2

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 456 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and the Risso’s dolphin. We also had harbour porpoises. No whale watching for now.. On average the tours rated 2.6 stars on our scale, where 2 tours had a rating of 3.
On average, we had 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 1 seasickness case, no breakfast saved…
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect near perfect conditions for all days! We expect the return of cold water, which should bring more dolphins to Lisbon Bay

Weekly Update April #1

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 449 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin.. On average the tours rated 2.7 stars on our scale, where 1 tour had a rating of 3.
On average, we had 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 3 seasickness cases, with lost breakfasts… all from the same family.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect good sea conditions except for Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th. However it seems that we might need to posponde the tours for the afternoons…

Weekly Update March #4

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 435 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 3 dolphin species, the common dolphin, bottlenose dolphins and pilot ‘whales’. We also had harbour porpoises and Sharks. On average the tours rated 3.6 stars on our scale, where 3 tours had a rating of 4.
On average, we had 7 guests per dolphin watching tour and 1 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect stormy weather. Possibly there will an opening on Friday 29th, at least for river tours.

Weekly Update March #3

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 428 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. The average the tours rated 3.3 stars on our scale.
On average, we had 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 3 seasickness cases in the same dolphin tour.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect near perfect conditions for Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th and poor sea conditions for Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd morning.

Weekly Update March #2

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 421 days since the last failed ocean tour. However today we got caught by a huge Cb at the beginning of the tour. All guests got too wet to be able to continue and the tour got cancelled.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin. The average the tours rated 2.9 stars on our scale,.
On average, we had 9 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 2.
This following week we expect near perfect Sea conditions most of the days. Wednesday 13th look to be the most windy day, but still quite good for this winter’s average, followed by Friday 15th.

Even the afternoons are great, so we’ll likely open afternoon tours this week!

Weekly Update March #1

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 414 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin. All tours rated 3 stars on our scale.
On average, we had 7 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect very good sea conditions for Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th. The following days will be rainy and windy with the passage of storm “Monica”. The local group finally arrived so we are planning river tours, on Friday 8th and Sunday 10th.

Weekly Update February #4

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 407 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. And both tours ranked 3 stars on our scale.
On average, we had 9 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect bad weather a high Seas. We’ll be closed with a change of going out on Friday 1st. We’ll see how the weather forecast goes, but the weekend shouldn’t be good enough.

Weekly Update January #4

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 379 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin.
On average, we had 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 2 seasickness cases. But we managed to save the breakfast!
Sea state was on average sea state 2 and the average tour ranking was 3 out of 5.
This following week we will be doing some maintenance and upgrades to our boat. Tours will be conducted in different boats, without Francisco as your guide.
We plan to be fully operational from Wednesday 7th, onward!
