Lisbon Dolphins is the touristic brand of ECCO Ocean. Our main goal is scientific research, focused on studying the local dolphin communities.
Taking guests on our trips enable us to get data with the trip expenses covered by the tickets. However due to unpredictability of wildlife, there are trips to be made out of the scheduled trips, with no guests to support the expenses. Remarkable cases were the sightings of the orcas in 2017 and the dolphins in Lisbon in 2018, which were only possible with total support of a local partner.
Additional support became extremely important after the closure of tourism due the Covid19 pandemic, as it flattened our revenue to zero.
