Weekly Update March #3

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 428 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. The average the tours rated 3.3 stars on our scale.
On average, we had 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 3 seasickness cases in the same dolphin tour.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect near perfect conditions for Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th and poor sea conditions for Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd morning.

Weekly Update March #2

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 421 days since the last failed ocean tour. However today we got caught by a huge Cb at the beginning of the tour. All guests got too wet to be able to continue and the tour got cancelled.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin. The average the tours rated 2.9 stars on our scale,.
On average, we had 9 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 2.
This following week we expect near perfect Sea conditions most of the days. Wednesday 13th look to be the most windy day, but still quite good for this winter’s average, followed by Friday 15th.

Even the afternoons are great, so we’ll likely open afternoon tours this week!

Weekly Update March #1

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 414 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin. All tours rated 3 stars on our scale.
On average, we had 7 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect very good sea conditions for Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th. The following days will be rainy and windy with the passage of storm “Monica”. The local group finally arrived so we are planning river tours, on Friday 8th and Sunday 10th.

Weekly Update February #4

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 407 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. And both tours ranked 3 stars on our scale.
On average, we had 9 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect bad weather a high Seas. We’ll be closed with a change of going out on Friday 1st. We’ll see how the weather forecast goes, but the weekend shouldn’t be good enough.

Weekly update February #2

Unfortunately no internal tour had been done. We’re still delayed regarding having the boat ready, this is the price for a safer, more comfortable and greener boat for 2024… All guests have been redirected to other boats and had great experiences, with multiple dolphin species.

We plan having the boat ready to operate on Friday, but unlikely in time for a morning tour.

Weather forecast shows storm for Thursday 15th, Friday 16th and Saturday 17th have quite good sea conditions and fair conditions until Tuesday 21th, depending of how high the swell will be.

Weekly update February #1

Despite the good weather during the first week of February, we didn’t went out, as the boat suffered some delays on upgrades and maintenance. But Rorky will be quite a new boat in 2024, with some new features!!

Our guests did went t the Sea with our partners and all tours saw dolphins!!

Quite windy and rainy days ahead, we are expecting some improvement for Monday 12th and Wednesday 14th we might be able to go out, but still shaky forecast, Tuesday 13th seems to be too windy to go and Thursday 15th is looking very promising!!

Weekly Update January #4

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 379 days since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin.
On average, we had 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 2 seasickness cases. But we managed to save the breakfast!
Sea state was on average sea state 2 and the average tour ranking was 3 out of 5.
This following week we will be doing some maintenance and upgrades to our boat. Tours will be conducted in different boats, without Francisco as your guide.
We plan to be fully operational from Wednesday 7th, onward!

Weekly Update January #2

This week we didn’t have any tour, we only had zero days with good Sea conditions.

In the next week we expect bad sea condition again, with the forecast for Saturday 20th looking quite good from today.

The oceanographic conditions are suitable for the dolphins to enter the River but it seems they didn’t arrive yet. When they do, sea conditions will not matter that much.

Weekly Update January #1

This week we didn’t have any tour, we only had 2 days for good Sea conditions which did not had enough bookings to do a tour.

In the next week we expect bad sea condition again, with maybe good weather only on Sunday 14th and Monday 15th.

The oceanographic conditions are suitable for the dolphins to enter the River but it seems they didn’t arrive yet. When they do, sea conditions will not matter that much.

In the past week we found dolphins in all of the dolphin watching tours, 351 days since the last failed ocean tour. We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin. and Sun Fish
On average, we had 10 guests per dolphin watching tour and 2 seasickness cases. Sea state was on average sea state 2.
This following week we expect bad sea conditions until the week end. We’ll be closed until the 6th.
