Weekly Update July #5

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week was great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 46 moons (aye, 3 years and 7 months) with only 2 failed ocean tours. We found at least a second group in all but two of the dolphin tours.

We’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet and Balearic Shearwater.

  • Average distance travelled: 9 leagues (aye, 55kms) round trip.
  • Average time at Sea: 2h43
  • Average souls per tour: 8 guests
  • Seasickness cases: 2 but with the breakfast saved.
  • Average Sea state:  sea state 2.

 

Looking ahead
Next week brings poor sea conditions until the weekend, with Sunday the 9th having the best sea conditions of the week. The rest of the days will be totally dependant on the presence of the river group.
