Weekly Update June #1

No tours this past week. The few fair days, had too few bookings.

Looking ahead
From Monday the 8th to Wednesday the 10th, the sea turns poor, shrinking our search area and leaving us to lean upon the river group… Who have shown themselves quite often, these past days. From Thursday the 11th to Sunday the 14th the mornings promise good & worthy seas once more! Next week seems wind will cut the search area shorter, but tours shall continue.

Weekly Update May #4

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week was great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 44 moons (aye, 3 years and 5 months) with only 2 failed ocean tours. We found at least a second group in all dolphin tours.
This week’s sightings
For the bird watchers
We’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Northern Gannet and Balearic Shearwater.
Tour stats
      • All tours rated 3 stars on our scale ***
      • Average distance travelled: 11 leagues (aye, 62kms) round trip.
      • Average time at Sea: 2h46
      • Average souls per tour: 10 guests
      • Seasickness cases: 1
      • Average Sea state:  sea state 2. But on the last tour we had to endure a short period of sea state 5!! Very wet.
Looking ahead
Next week raging winds and rough waves will cast us out from the Sea..  Saturday the 6th stands as the only good day as the next one is Thursday the 12th. On the remaining days, we shall judge whether river-only voyages are possible—should the river group be sighted.
