Weekly Update February #3

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! We finally got our first tour of 2026!! Not an easy week dolphins had been quite far away. We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 37 months since the last failed ocean tour, and to keep that record we had to cancel 2 tours in the past weekend as no dolphins have been spotted in the bay.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the and bottlenose dolphins.. No whale watching this week… And the Tagides group has not been spotted for 54 days.. So be aware of those party boats selling river cruises with dolphins, there haven’t been dolphins in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Northern Gannet, Sooty Shearwater, European shag and Puffins.
All tours rated 3 stars on our scale
We had to travel an average of 108Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~3h27 to cover it. On average we hosted 10 guests per dolphin watching tour and 1 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week the Sea worsen again…, with only Sunday the 1st standing as a proper day to go out, then three days of poor weather follow….
