Weekly Update November #4

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week was great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 35 months since the last failed ocean tour. However due to lack of bookings, one guest was moved to our colleague’s boat and they saw nothing.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin. No whale watching this week… And the Tagides group has not been spotted for 90 days.. So be aware of those party boats selling river cruises with dolphins, there haven’t been dolphins in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Storm petrel, Northern Gannet and Great Skua.
All tours rated 3 stars on our scale
We had to travel an average of 54Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h42 to cover it. On average we hosted 6 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 3.
This following week we expect overall poor sea conditions most of the week, with Monday 1st being by far the best day for comfort and spotting conditions. Weather will improve only on Friday 5th , but the high seas will only smooth down on Sunday 7th .
