Weekly Update October #2

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 33 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all dolphin tours.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin. We also found Sharks and Sun Fish. No whale watching this week… And the Tagides group has not been spotted for 41 days.. So be aware of those party boats selling river cruises with dolphins, there haven’t been dolphins in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet, Balearic Shearwater, Great Skua, European shag and Great Shearwater.
All tours rated 3 stars on our scale
We had to travel an average of 72Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h49 to cover it. On average we hosted 10 guests per dolphin watching tour and 2 seasickness cases, with one breakfast lost.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect near perfect spotting conditions until Sunday 19th Even with good conditions in the afternoons from Wednesday 15th to Friday 17th .
