Weekly Update September #3

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 32 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all but one of the dolphin tours.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. We had 1 whale watching tour with Minke Whales. And the Tagides group has not been spotted for 20 days.. So be aware of those party boats selling river cruises with dolphins, there haven’t been dolphins in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet, Balearic Shearwater and Great Skua.
On average the tours rated 3.3 stars on our scale 1 tours had a rating of 4 3 tours had a rating of 3
We had to travel an average of 69Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h47 to cover it. On average we hosted 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 1 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 0.
This following week we expect very good  spotting conditions Tuesday 23th and onward only with Sunday 28th and Monday 29th closed as ex-hurricane Gabrielle will likely land on mainland Portugal.
