Weekly Update September #4

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 32 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all dolphin tours.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. We also found harbour porpoises. No whale watching this week… And the Tagides group has not been spotted for 27 days.. So be aware of those party boats selling river cruises with dolphins, there haven’t been dolphins in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet, Balearic Shearwater, Great Skua and European shag.
On average the tours rated 3.5 stars on our scale 2 tours had a rating of 4 2 tours had a rating of 3
We had to travel an average of 71Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h45 to cover it. On average we hosted 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 1 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 3.
This following week we expect near perfect spotting conditions until Friday 3rd when fair spotting condition settle until Sunday 5th which seems to not meet the requirements to go out..
