Weekly Update August #4

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 32 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all dolphin tours. We sighted 2 dolphin species and the common dolphin, risso’s dolphin. No whale watching this week… And the Tagides group has been spotted 1 time in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Northern Gannet and European shag.
On average the tours rated 3.3 stars on our scale 1 tours had a rating of 4 and 2 tours had a rating of 3
We had to travel an average of 62Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h54 to cover it. On average we hosted 10 guests per dolphin watching tour and 2 seasickness cases. Sea state was on average sea state 2.
This following week we expect good sea conditions overall, with Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd as well as for the weekend with very good spotting conditions. Thursday 4th seems to be the worst day…
