Weekly Update August #1

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 31 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all dolphin tours.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. We also found harbour porpoises. No whale watching this week… And the Tagides group has not been spotted for 9 days.. So be aware of those boats selling river cruises with dolphins, there haven’t been dolphins in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet, Balearic Shearwater and Sooty Shearwater.
On average the tours rated 3.6 stars on our scale 4 tours had a rating of 4 3 tours had a rating of 3
We had to travel an average of 65Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h50 to cover it. On average we hosted 11 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
This following week we expect very good sea conditions in the mornings. Wednesday 13th and maybe Thursday 14th will have very poor conditions, we’ll likely not operate under these conditions.
