Weekly Update July #3

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 30 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all dolphin tours.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. We also found harbour porpoises, Blue Fin Tuna. No whale watching this week… And the Tagides group has been spotted 3 times in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet, Balearic Shearwater and Sooty Shearwater.
On average the tours rated 3.6 stars on our scale 2 tours had a rating of 4 1 tours had a rating of 3
We had to travel an average of 72Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h48 to cover it. On average we hosted 12 guests per dolphin watching tour and 2 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 0.
This following week we expect poor sea conditions until the weekend, with Thursday 24th and Friday 25th with possibility of improvement. We’ll wait for closer forecast, but the river group has been around, making easier to spot dolphins during poor weather conditions.
