Weekly Update July #2

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 30 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all dolphin tours.
We sighted 3 dolphin species, the common dolphin, bottlenose dolphins and Pilot Whale. We also found Sword fish, Blue Fin Tuna. No whale watching this week… (pilot whales are dolphins) And the river group has been spotted 2 times in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet, Balearic Shearwater, Sooty Shearwater and Great Skua.
On average the tours rated 3.2 stars on our scale 1 tours had a rating of 4 and all the others tours had a rating of 3
We had to travel an average of 69Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h56 to cover it. On average we hosted 10 guests per dolphin watching tour and 2 seasickness cases, with lost breakfasts…
Sea state was on average sea state 2.
This following week we expect very good sea conditions in the mornings of Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th with poor conditions in all the other days… Sunday 20th is the only day that has conditions to go out.
