Weekly Update June #4

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 29 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all but two of the dolphin tours.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and orca again! No whale watching this week… And the river group has not been spotted for 63 days.. So be aware of those boats selling river cruises with dolphins, there haven’t been dolphins in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet, Balearic Shearwater and Sooty Shearwater.
On average the tours rated 3.7 stars on our scale 1 tours had a rating of 5 and 2 tours had a rating of 3
We had to travel an average of 75Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h37 to cover it, except for the tour with orcas which lasted 4h40! On average we hosted 7 guests per dolphin watching tour and 3 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 0.
Our CO2 emissions were 9.9 Kg per guest, a 7% improvement from last year.
This following week we expect very good sea conditions in the mornings until Tuesday 1st which will have fair sea conditions. From Wednesday 2nd to Monday 30th the forecast looks very bad, and all tour will be impossible to operate..
