Weekly Update June #3

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 29 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all dolphin tours.
We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. We also found and Sun Fish. No whale watching this week… And the river group has not been spotted for 56 days.. So be aware of those boats selling river cruises with dolphins, there haven’t been dolphins in the river.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet and Balearic Shearwater.
On average the tours rated 3.5 stars on our scale 2 tours had a rating of 4 2 tours had a rating of 3
We had to travel an average of 65Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h41 to cover it. On average we hosted 9 guests per dolphin watching tour and 1 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 1.
Our CO2 emissions were 7.8 Kg per guest, a 6% improvement from last year.
This following week we expect good sea conditions in the mornings, with Thursday 26th that might be too bad for a tour, but we’ll see closer to the date. And Tuesday 24th looking the best day! With the weekend until Tuesday 1st looking to be quite good too!
