Weekly Update May #3

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 28 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all dolphin tours.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin. No whale watching this week…
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Storm petrel, Northern Gannet and Balearic Shearwater.
All tours rated 3 stars on our scale
We had to travel an average of 55Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h15 to cover it. On average we hosted 12 guests per dolphin watching tour and 1 breakfast lost 🙁
Sea state was on average sea state 3.
Our CO2 emissions were 4.6 Kg per guest, a 5% improvement from last year.
This following week we expect poor sea conditions for Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th. But Expecting very good sea conditions Wednesday 28th onward!

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 28 months since the last failed ocean tour. We found at least a second group in all but one of the dolphin tours.
We sighted 3 dolphin species, the common dolphin, bottlenose dolphins and striped dolphins. We also found and Sun Fish. No whale watching this week but they have been spotted in the neighbouring bay!
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Storm petrel, Northern Gannet and Balearic Shearwater.
On average the tours rated 3.7 stars on our scale 2 tours had a rating of 4 and 1 tours had a rating of 3
We had to travel an average of 76Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h50 to cover it. On average we hosted 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 2.
Our CO2 emissions were 11.1 Kg per guest, a 3% improvement from last year.
This following week we expect poor sea conditions, only Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th seem to have a favourable forecast.

We sighted 2 dolphin species, the common dolphin and bottlenose dolphins. We also found harbour porpoises. No whale watching this week…
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater, Northern Gannet and European shag.
On average the tours rated 3 stars on our scale 1 tours had a rating of 4 and 1 tours had a rating of 2
We had to travel an average of 59Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h28 to cover it. On average we hosted 8 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 3.
Our CO2 emissions were 7.1 Kg per guest, a 7% improvement from last year.
This following week we expect good sea conditions, except for Thursday 15th with Tuesday 13th  and Friday 16th having the best weather of the week! This week, the biggest threat to the tours will the lack of bookings…

Ahoy, intrepid explorers! This past week has been great for dolphin sightings, and we’re excited to share the highlights with you! We are the most successful dolphin watching boat in Lisbon, with 28 months since the last failed ocean tour.
We sighted 1 dolphin species, the common dolphin.. No whale watching this week, but a  Fin Whale was reported in the area last Thursday.
For the bird watchers, we’ve seen: Cory’s Shearwater and Northern Gannet.
All tours rated 3 stars on our scale
We had to travel an average of 74Km to find the dolphins and return, which took ~2h52 to cover it. On average we hosted 10 guests per dolphin watching tour and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was on average sea state 2.
Our CO2 emissions were 12.4 Kg per guest, a 9% improvement from last year.
This following week we expect poor sea conditions until Wednesday 7th which is the best day of the whole week! With the following days with fair sea conditions until the return of good sea conditions on the weekend and Monday. with , when weather will deteriorate again..
