The tour rated 2 stars on our scale.
We had to travel 105Km to find the dolphins, which took ~3h50 to cover it. We hosted 11 guests and 0 seasickness cases.
Sea state was sea state 3.
Our CO2 emissions were 1.8 Kg per Km, no improvement from last year.
This following week we expect poor weather conditions the whole week, with the fall of wind storm Herminia today and Ivo on Wednesday 29th.Weather will only improve on Friday 31st and Saturday 1st, when the forecast is surprisingly good! Let’s hope that it stays that way!

Weekly Update January #3

No tours so far, mainly due to weather, however yesterday the sea conditions were very good but unfortunately no bookings to go out to the Sea… However the river had once again 2 visits of bottlenose dolphins!
This following week we expect poor weather conditions the whole week, with the fall of wind storm Garoe. With some we’ll have favourable forecast for Friday 24th morning. One of these days will be the only viable window until January 30th as storm Éowyn and others will affect severely the sea conditions.

Weekly Update January #2

Still no tours this year, despite some good weather days. This was due to complete lack of bookings this month… Is the cold frightening everyone? Well winter tours are technically warmer than summer tours.. yes yes it’s a bit colder now, but only some 5ºC lower at Sea. It’s technically warmer because guests finally bring jackets instead of t-shirts!
This following week we expect poor weather conditions for the whole week, except for Wednesday 15th morning which is looking quite good! And Saturday 18th afternoon, which is looking very good!!

Weekly Update January #1

No tours this year so far, result of lack of bookings during the week and in the weekend despite some bookings bad sea conditions from storm Floriane, forced us to cancel every tour.

This week the bad weather will continue as storm Garoe will hit on Tuesday 7th and it’s effects will last until Thrusday 9th.

So this should leave Friday 10th and the weekend free of high waves and the tours will resume.
